What is Microneedling?
At our Calgary clinic, our signature treatment is microneedling (also known as the vampire facial). We combine medical-grade microneedling (collagen induction therapy) with your own platelet-rich plasma for results that go well beyond what either treatment achieves alone. Tiny sterile needles create controlled micro-injuries in the skin while your PRP (concentrated from your own blood draw) is applied simultaneously, flooding those channels with your body's most powerful growth factors.
The result: dramatically faster collagen production, smoother texture, reduced scarring, tighter pores, and a brighter complexion. It is excellent for acne scars, fine lines, enlarged pores, dull or uneven skin tone, and overall skin quality.
Microneedling is highly effective for stimulating your skin’s natural repair processes. Combining it with PRP therapy takes results to the next level by delivering growth factors deep into the skin. What to Expect

Skin Assessment & Blood Draw
After a thorough skin assessment, we draw a small amount of blood, exactly like a routine lab test. This only takes a moment and is very well-tolerated.
PRP Preparation (15 Minutes)
Your blood is spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. While we wait, medical-grade numbing cream is applied to the treatment area for maximum comfort.
Microneedling + PRP Application (30 Minutes)
The microneedling device creates precise micro-channels as your PRP is applied simultaneously, driving growth factors deep into the skin. You'll feel a mild vibrating or prickling sensation, very tolerable for most clients.
Aftercare & Recovery (24–48 Hours)
Your skin will look flushed (like a sunburn) for 24–48 hours. Light flaking may occur over the next few days. Full aftercare instructions are provided, including gentle skincare and strict sun protection.
Longevity
Results & How Long They Last
Collagen remodeling continues for months after each session, compounding your results over time.
Visible improvement in texture and tone begins within a week, but collagen remodeling continues for months. Most concerns require a series of treatments: texture, pores, and glow respond well to 3–4 sessions; acne scars or deeper lines typically need 4–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance every 6–12 months keeps skin looking its best.
